Fabio Borg (b.1974) is a Graphic Designer by profession and works with a leading advertising agency in Malta.
From a young age he studied drawing and painting at the school of Arts in Valletta, Malta.
Between 1993 and 1997, Fabio went to Italy to study theology, philosophy and psychology. These academics studies show a great influence in his works. During his stay in Italy, Fabio met various italian artists who helped him alot in devloping his ideas and thoughts.
On local grounds, Fabio met Gabriel Caruana who is a pioneer in modern art among the maltese artists and is the founder of the Mill in Birkirkara which is an artristic centre. Gabriel Caruana encourages Fabio and helps him a lot in his creations and career as an artist. Gabriel was also the one who gave birth to Fabio's first solo exhibition at the Mill in Birkirkara in May'99.
Fabio's work is an interior expression. Each and every painting is the artist's picture of the unconscious about a given issue, concept, or state of mind. Fabio says that his work is a mirror of his interior personality. Improvisation and spontaneity plays an important role in his work. This does not mean that there is no harmony between the artist and his work. He says that there is absolute harmony.
