Our Language Centre operates at the highest level
of professional standards and teaches English to internationally accepted
standards.
Professional and practical lectures
Lecturing staff are drawn from the industry and
academia and many have international experience in their field. This ensures
students gain invaluable practical experience and insights into the contemporary
workplace and obtain the skills required for employment.
Flexible course delivery
:
This ensures that different learning styles are
catered for. Classes range from traditional teacher-centered learning to
small group interactive learning. Courses can be divided in modular form:
enabling students to fast-track their studies, completing a 3 to 4 week's
intensive Course.
If students need to improve their English proficiency
before going on to further studies at home, we believe that the best way
is to study in Malta prior to commencing their college or university programmes
at home.
This gives students the chance to become familiar
with local teaching practices and settle in to the lifestyle of our country
before their programmes begin. Plus, 'total immersion' is acknowledged
as the optimum way for learning any language.
There is a heavy emphasis on getting students
to speak English in the classrooms by communicating in English with eachother
and their tutors.
This is greatly assisted by their time away from
the classroom in the wider community of Malta where English is the spoken
language and newspapers, television, cinemas and radio are published and
broadcast in English.
Courses can be designed to meet the special needs
of groups or individuals and it is possible to commence English studies
at almost any time of the year.
